ATD1 Production Update 3 - Making of the ultimate travel and EDC backpack

At the very end of 2018, the laser-cutting machine had some unexpected issues and we had to wait for it to be repaired. This forced us to postpone our work on fabrics and waste a couple of weeks.  We took advantage of that waiting time to cut all webbing, sew all the webbing parts, improve the building process, make some sewing templates for the back panel and print invoices and shipping documents to avoid wastes of time during the last stage of the game.   Templates for back panel stitching.   Sternum Straps in progress. ATD1 Production Update 2 - Making of the ultimate travel and EDC backpack

Earlier this week our manufacturing partner received almost all materials and here at Attitude Supply we are happy to announce that we started ATD1 Backpack's first production run this week. In the picture, zippers and hardware can be seen laying in my living room a couple of days after the first update, waiting to be shipped to the manufacturing site. All the Italian supplied materials (Cordura® Fabric, zippers, Velcro, Evazote and hardware) were delivered on time, so did the German made Curv for frame sheets, while some imported materials had up to three weeks delay: it took more time than expected for our Polish suppliers (lining and webbing) to deliver and USA made Durastretch got stuck at Italian customs longer than we planned. ATD1 Production Update 1 - Making of the ultimate travel and EDC backpack

As we expected, managing the post campaign to deliver the ATD1 Backpack  isn't easy: last weeks were spent dealing with suppliers, ordering materials and checking for interesting alternatives. Other time-consuming tasks have been setting up an updated backers list,  preparing invoices and trying to reach the very few dropped backers who disappeared after campaign's end (we miss you, if you read this!). We've also been working on the brand new website you are surfing on right now, and we really hope you like it.Our manufacturing partner has already received the frame sheet material, all hardware, the Cordura® fabric and the Velcro Onewrap for webbing management: we are currently waiting for lining and stretch fabrics, YKK zippers, and webbing: delivery is expected within three weeks. We'll see...

ATD1 Backpack is successfully funded on Kickstarter!

ATD1 travel and EDC backpack is successfully funded on Kickstarter and now available on Indiegogo! After launching and closing a previous campaign because it was not performing as we wanted, we rolled up our sleeves even more and did it all form the beginning: contact lists, social media, ads, PR pitching, all by ourselves and without any marketing agency behind us. We launched again and reached 40% in 24h, going over 50% the following days and finally getting funded. We know it wouldn't have been easy, but 91 people decided to purchase ATD1 making its production real: we did this together. We want to thank all the people who reviewed, shared, pushed, talked about ATD1 on the internet. Then, we really want...
